The slave lords(that is the guarded compond in the temple district)/twisted rune were to have a quest but its not in the game (I can understand since most of the players go freeing the slaves in the copper coronet in the begining of the game and those fights were made to High level partys, and most of us would try that and get kill too many times and that would be no fun) so fell free to go after then, there is no quest to lose.

Balor, the demon in the Underdark pit. Damn thing was so tough when I met it. Eventually I just shoved lots of monsters around, gave my PC all the health potions, free action, best weapons and armour, and juiced him up with every spell I had. Ran in, kicked Balor, when Balor noticed him, he ran away until Balor went back to killing the frozen monsters I'd summoned. It was tricky.

Now I'm in the Elf city, and man is this hard. So many golems......

When fighting dragons haste all characters and run in from all different angles. The wing buffet is directional so he will always have 2-3 chars beating on it. Also send summoned creatures in multiple waves. death spells can't kill them all if they aren't all summoned/attacking at once in the same area.

Strangely enough, I have to go with the "get the demon heart" battle in the planar sphere quest. I just could not seem to get through this battle, and eventually ended up having to reduce the play difficulty to get through it. It was far more difficult (though less complex) for me than the final battle in hell, as well as some of the other tough spots.

Did anyone else have trouble with getting tye demon heart? Or did I miss some really easy solution?

Definitely, the hardest battle i've ever faced was with the Samia's group. They caught me by surprise, and if you're not prepared, that's a terrible fight
