What would you say is this best heavy armor sets?

Post by Madd069 »

I do have quite a bit of money, and every hour I find a new cave giving me around 2k-3k gold. I have legion armour, which looks cool, and that is the thing that is tempting me to keep it. I dont want to go out and get one type of helmet, and another type of shield. I want to go out and buy a good looking and strong armour set. If you could help me locate these items, that would be great!
Since I ask quite a few questions, I thought it might be nice to have an important detail in my sig.

I have Oblivion for 360!

Unfortunately, loot is leveled, so you will be getting better armor as you progress in level. Daedric is the strongest period, but you have to be high in level to get it, around 20 or so. Usually what you'll find on NPCs like Bandits and Marauders(sp?) or in chests in dungeons is the current best.

Personally I like the ebony best, purely looks though. And each piece is enchanted with +10 strength (that helps in carrying out more loot).

I am now a pure mithril user (again because I like the way it looks). This set is enchanted with shield since my light armour skill is not very high yet.

Unfortenuly, I cannot get any armor sets right now because of the 360's "Move it and lose it problem" Whenever you move the 360 (in my case barel touched) while its running, your disk starts skipping and doesnt work. Got to return it today and get a new one :(

Bad ass isn't profanity, here, but if you do use asterisks of anything else to get around the site owner's rules, you might want to be aware of this, which you agreed to when you joined:

Umbra is in the Ayleid ruins called Vindasel west-northwest along red ring road.

And apologies to the guy called Fable for using offensive language in my last post ;)

If you don't want to become a murderer, start the Clavicus Vile quest first. She doesn't attack first otherwise, you have to kill her in cold blood. His shrine is real close, and you have an option at the end of it not to actually turn in the lovely sword she drops. Or you can trade the sword for a nice helmet, your choice.

On the other hand, if you are playing an evil type, Umbra is as good as any to get invited to the Dark Brotherhood.

daedric armor (Spoiler?)

I started finding daedric and ebony armour after I was about lvl 20. I find that bandits in caves and forts often give ebony armour, and that adversaries in the plains of oblivion usually give daedric. I have only closed 5 gates so far (am lvl 24) but have full sets of ebony + weapons and daedric + weapons just from going through caves, forts and oblivion gates. I have also found a lot of useful rings in the plains of oblivion (reflect 33% of damage is quite a good one), so happy hunting...

I always take Daedric Armor 24/7 in Oblivion, mostly due to its toughness and overall cool-looking.
