Can someone explain to me how I go about using a soul gem?

There are two possible ways (That I know of) to use a soul gem. First and foremost though, you need it to have a soul.
So, you need to buy a soultrapping spell And/Or get a weapon that will trap souls. Also get as many soulgems as you can, and then go hunting in some ruins and caves.
Now, when you have a soulgem and it has a soul-
1. you can click it and it will partially recharge an enchanted weapon you have.
or
2. you can take it to an alter in the arcane university, and then make enchanted items that way. The alters look like Sheet Music Stands but are golden.
