bg2 (SoA) - memorized magic scrolls - should I sell the extras I find?

I have memorized several mage scrolls, bought a spell case, but there are really several of them, most already on the spell book and/or memorized.
Should I find the similar spell scrolls I keep finding in my adventures or if I die I will need them to write on my spell book and memorize?

Depending upon the amount of gold you have you can either sell the extras or if you have enough gold you can erase the currently known spell and then learn the scroll to gain XP.

You need to have ToB installed to be able to erase spells.

If you haven't rescued Imoen (or other casters you'll want to have in your party) yet you can keep a few spell scrolls for her to learn.

If you die the game is over anyway, other party members don't loose memorized spells when they die.
