'Detect Illusion' theif skill
'Detect Illusion' theif skill
What does 'Detect Illusion' actually do? I have 150 skill points in this for Jan, expecting that it would dispense with the need to cast True Sight and Detect Invisibility, but I have never had any effect whatsoever from this skill during combat. The most it ever did was expose a couple of mimics. Should I be doing something to activate it, or is this just not a useful skill?

Jan would be able to use this skill an unlimited amount of times during the day without resting, not to mention this can free up numerous spell slots on various characters.
Don't underestimate it, I think it's invaluable.

Yes, it is excellent. A paladin's ability is limited by number, but not Jan's. He's a little ball of surprises in several ways, isn't he? And those manufactured ranged attacks of his can even cut through some powerful defenses on occasino.
I wonder, though, just how powerful his Detect Illusion can get if you train it properly?

To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

@Fable: I havent noticed changes after we reach 100 points. I played the game a few times with an F/M/T and I'd avoid memorizing those spells for the worst combats (when not soloing, cause at a solo game it is better to actually cast true sight and let the spell do the work for you). The range is sight range (it seems so), and it works really well, and you have also the advantage to be able to move the character around while he's searching for ilusions.
Flesh to stone ain't permanent, it seems.
