Need help with starting the big heist *SPOILERS*

Post by jay3 »

Okay, i went to a guide for this, so that's how i know what's next, so, i just finished the springheel jak boots quest and the grey fox has now said that he might have one last quest for me, so i went to a guide to see how i will know when he needs me for this thing.

But on the guide it says that i should get a quest update saying that i have to fence 1000 gold, but i didn't get it, so i fenced that much anyway, and the guide also said to wait in the market district in imperial city after i fenced it (still have had no message telling me to do any of this):confused, so i did, for three days (Three 24-hour waits) and ZIP! NADA! ZE-RO! So me confused as hell!

Spoiler, in a sense...

Got to the Waterfront and talk to Aumise...you know, the argonian (I Can't spell his name) he should be the one you need to tell you about the mission.
And lo ye must learn of the great war that raged fo a couple of posts and brought the citadel momentaraly to its knees
Lookie!

I tend to appear briefly and disappear very quickly after that, try not to let it bother you.

If McCool's suggestion works for you, ignore this. However, if you find Amusei and he still doesn't have the right dialog options to start the quest, I had exactly the same problem a while back and it appears to be a glitch in the game. See details in this thread (with spoilers):

If you're on the 360 you're probably hosed unless you have a save game prior to the event that triggered the glitch. A workaround for the PC can be found in this thread:

Can the answer to this question be "No"?

Well in my very first file I had to go to caslte leyawin for the quest updates, I fenced way too mush at the begining and it ended up that I never freed him as I had missed all the quests involving him, but you followed the guide so you've freed him right?
