Skorm's bow, out of Mercenaries.

Post by Slayer_71 »

Ok. So I honestly need help. I've beaten the game and continued playing, I've gotten EVERY legendary weapon except Skorm's bow, and that's all I want before I quit playing this character. I've used every mercenary available, and I have no idea how to sacrifice anyone else. Can I get someone to follow me? I'm +100 scary, +100 atractive, in several towns everyone loves me, including the guys. Haha, but seriously, help?

This worked for me: Take the mercenary from the Bandit Camp and the Mercenary from the good Temple to Skorm's Temple (at the same time). Try to wait until midnight before sacrificing them. One should be enough to get the bow, but if not then the second one should do it.

The problem is, I've already sacrificed the mercenaries, thinking they'd respawn, and saved over it.

I've even tried flirting with someone from Barrow Fields, and making them follow me, but she wants a house or something. Plus when I first talked to her, she said "We can make love if you'd like?" and there's no bed there so she walked off. Also, while I'm on the subject, whenever I asked her to follow she said, "Sorry, but I'm washing my hair."

What's up with that?

Are you sure they haven't respawned? They respawned several times for me cos I kept sacrificing them over and over again. You just have to wait 24 hours (in game not real time) for them to reappear again.

The reason they are saying they want a house is because they want to marry you. Just walk up to any villagers, without flirting, and if your attractiveness is high then tell them to follow you and they will. The best ones to use are the hooded women in the guild as they get you more dark points. If a villager says they are busy etc. it means they don't like you cos they saw you do something they don't approve. For example, some villagers were following me and I killed a trader by accident while fighting hobbes and some of them decided they no longer trusted me and refused to follow me after that.

I'm playing regular Fable, not TLC. They haven't respawned, I've waited several days :( Haha, yeah in Barrow fields, I did kill 250 guards at one time... I don't think they like me much there, but she DOES want to get it on at least  Yeah, I don't know. The Mercs won't respawn or something, and the Hero's guild is gone because of Jack....

Just want to confirm Mr_Sir's method of sacrificing both the good and bad mercenary at the chapel of Skorm worked. Had to do it somewhere around midnight. Thanks, Mr_sir. It really helped. :)

Well, the good thing about using mercenaries is that they can teleport together with you which, in truth, is more convenient than dragging either civilians or bandits all the way to the chapel of Skorm since they lack the teleport ability. :)

I actually reloaded a save before commencing with the sacrifice of the two mercenaries. :p Yes. I agree with you that you have to wait 24 hours to get the mercenaries to respawn. Very troublesome.

I got Scorm's bow too.. but I went about it differently. I tried it while completely Evil and sacrificed at 6:00pm, Midnight and 6Am... none of these did me any good. I sacrificed the follower from the temple of Avo also. Now, finally I took some advice from one of the sites I saw and went to the light side by donating to the temple of avo and finishing that quest to get the weapon there. I didn't get entirely good but I did have blue eyes. Either way, I then saved my game and took the follower back to the Chapel of Scorm and did my sacrifices again. Once again 6PM did nothing, Midnight did nothing.. but this time at 6Am just before daybreak, I did my sacrifice and it worked. I don't know how you guys did it as an evil character but this is the method that worked for me. So maybe if you go good and take somebody to the temple, merc or not, it might work... either way, good luck, this was the toughest mission in the game for me.

Hm... never thought of a chain of sacrifices like that... might make the timing easier if you have alot of them at once to work with. When you mentioned the aging thing you called it a skill... do you actually get a skill that lets you age yourself down anytime or do you have to sacrifice at the Chapel of Scorm or Temple of Avo to do it each time... I forgot to get the Necromancer title too.. thanks for the link, guess it's off to get some sacrifices... though the above method of getting the bow did work for me as an alternative if needed.

No U only get it once it isnt really a skill but i dont know another way to name it... They just deplete ur age with 10 years.. This is done twice ( at both temples )
If u want to get less age u can go back to 18 years by doing it in the save the archeoligisd quest... Deplete ur age and then hero save then load ur previous save( the one u hero saved on ).. and restart the quest ( notice that ur age is till minus 10 )
Do this a bounche of times.. and ull B sweet 18 again

That is so wierd..Couze i sacraficed like 13 traders Bfore making my "how to" to get the best way to Get skorms Bow and i got Nothing....
Obviusly traders do not work on sacraficing neather do vilagers that well
Best for sacrafice are:

1.Mercanary's
2.Bandits (elite's )
3.Apprentices ( especially hooded ones )
4.Villagers
