Hi all,
I've searched the forum and I haven't found anything about this: my question is simple:
Luck affects drops?
I'm asking this because in my last 10/15 levels ( now I'm 27 ) I raised luck and now i have this attribute at 77 ( birthsight of thief docet ). In my last few levels I found Ring of Perfection (+10 all attributes YUM YUM ) and after this ( with my luck at 87 !!! ) I also found the Mundane Ring ( 50% magic resist and 35% spell reflect ). Note: I found these rings in Ayleids reliquiary.
It seems that my luck increasing is affecting my drops.
Thanks for any answers
Luck and Drop
Luck supposedly affects everything you do in the game. That's why every race, male and female, begin at 50. Your luck is in balance. I have found that having a high luck is important to a character, but since its effect is all encomasing and you can't really quantify it, it could be all in your imagination, neh? I mean, I tried to test out the luck thing with my ne character. I took the thief birthsign and did everything I could to increase my luck. Most people tend to ignore their luck because it never gets a multiplier at level up time. I try to raise my luck at least every other level and I must say I am having the same results that you are. At your luck gets up to 75, 80, 85, man the whole universe seems to bend in your direction. It could be my imagination, but this new lucky character seems to be getting a lot more breaks than previous characters in either Morrowind or Oblivion.
Hope this helps.

Luck has major effects in several areas of the game, including sudden surges in the quality of drops, to hit on attack, damage on attack, automatic dodging, pickpocketing, lowering sustained damage, raising the percentage of damage on destruction spells that aren't fixed to a specific number, etc.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
