Okay, well, about my 50th time through the game, I decided to explore the ground floor of the Empire Hotel and I noticed that in one of the back rooms there is a locked door with a mailbox outside. Is there any clan that can use this as a haven?

Trust me, most of the names I have been called you can't translate in any language...they're not even real words as much as a succession of violent images.
There is a door that leads to the backstage area. There is a ring on the floor, and I never could open the door to the stage. I've never noticed a mailbox, though!
Yeah, that door does not open but like Shana says it just leads to the stage area as it is locked from the other side too. I don't think its a haven and I've also not noticed a mailbox. Of course this does not mean there isn't a mailbox as I've never looked that closely so I don't actually know
Yeah I just checked and don't see a mailbox.
There are two doors near the stage, one on the stage is locked and goes to the room with the ring you find near some equipment and floor level door near the stage doesn't open at all, fake door.
I used Noclip all over the first floor of Empire and found nothing.
