Do you feed your cat as soon as you get up? Or do something specific with your cat shortly after waking up? It may be they expect you to do that thing with them, and when you're not awake, they figure they have to wake you. Postpone meal time.

The little beasties wake me up on the weekends to have their breakfast..:laugh: they are used to being fed by 730A during the week...creatures of habit

I have 4 cats and we don't feed them at a specific time, they have a trough so they can eat whenever they want. They have just decided that it's time for us to start paying attention to them (or maybe they like getting pelted with pillows, who knows).
