Hey guys,
I've been having some discussions with folks about either enchanting or equipping potions on arrows for GOTY for Xbox. I don't care if any method of powering up arrows makes sense from the perspective of time or soul gem economy, I just want to know if it is actually possible on the Xbox.
I hear a lot of folks say that you can enchant individual arrows, yet I have never found an enchanter who brings up arrows in the enchantable gear menu.
I've heard lots of folks say that you can put harmful potions on arrows, which would make logical sense, but dosn't seem to work. (I ended up poisoning myself repeatedly trying to get that to work.)
And while lots of folks chime in with "just enchant your bow", that's actually not a very smart idea. Bows cannot actually enchant for "When Hits" effects, because they are not what actually hits the enemy. This means, you can only enchant them with "When Used" or "CE" (if you have a golden saint/ascended sleeper, of course), which makes them no different than any other enchantable item - except that they have a lower enchantment value than a good exquisite ring, amulet, or even a pair of pants! Additionally, bows have a greater tendency to glitch when enchanted. (I put a CE Bound Bow and Night Eye spell on a bonemold bow and ended up locking up the Xbox any time I tried to equip it!)
Has anyone personally upgraded arrows successfully on the Xbox with GOTY? If so, can you please tell me how to do so?
Thanks,
Jeremy
Specifics on powering up arrows?

1) May be on PC, with a mod. The construction set gives an enchant value for an arrow/bolt...
2) A mod on PC

At the moment, I am also stuck on Xbox, and to my knowledge, no you cannot enchant arrows on that version.
You can however find(I believe, and please don't take my word as law on this) some merchant who sells enchanted arrows. I remember seeing my friend's character who had over 400 enchanted arrows that did frost damage, so there is either a local you can hop on over to and find them at, or a merchant. In either case, I will ask my friend if he knows where he got them, and if not then get the PC version

Finally running a decent computer!

As far as I know therem are 2 ways to get enchanted arrows. the first (and most easy) is to kill skelliton archers in dunmer ancestrial tombs. The other is a glitch that *possible spoiler* involves switching weapons after you pull back your bow but before you fire arrows, them when you retrive arrows from the dead foe, they are the enchanted type.
"Of humble birth, he entered the Emperor's service in the lowly status of courier. Dispatched to Balmora in the waning years of the Third Era, he arrived in Morrowind, ignorant of the role he was to play in that nation's history."
Curious...
Hey guys,
Thanks for the info so far. If anyone can figure out a place that sells enchanted arrows in the GOTY version of the Xbox, that would be killer.
Triline, while I may not make use of the glitch, how is that glitch performed? (And why would mentioning that glitch be a spoiler?)

To answer your question about the spoiler part, someone may want to play the game without useing/knowing glitches, because knowlede can lead to use, and that can spoil your game experience.
**possible spoiler** anyway, the glitch is performed by pulling in the right trigger as if to fire your bow, but before you let go of the trigger, hit B to got to your in-game menu, then go to the weapons screen. from the weapons screen, switch out your enchanted arrows for normal arrows (I recommend chitin). Then exit the in-game menu and release the right trigger to fire your non-enchanted arrow that has the effects of the enchanted one. Then re-equip the enchanted arrows and repeat from beginning. Repeat untill your foe is dead, the retrive your arrows from the corpse, they should be the enchanted ones you didn't fire.

Thanks, triline...
Triline,
I was hoping it would be that complicated. That amount of work for a single foe will prevent me from making use of it! *lol*
The lockpick assassination trick is about as much of a weapon-switch as I care to go for. And I don't actually use that one all that much, because I'm terrified of killing game-necessary Non-Player Characters! *shakes head*
Still, I do appreciate you letting me know about it. Thanks!
