yes it is stereotypical but thats why i chose to do it. just cos something is stereotypical doesn't mean its not roleplaying. personally i just felt that if i wanted to play a complete pyscho who just does whatever they feel like regardless of consequences, even if that means losing out on xp or annoying people like nines or the prince, then who better than a malkavian to role play that kind of character with. similarly, if i wanted to play as a power hungry vampire who wouldn't mind taking over as prince of LA, i'd probably be more likely to play as a ventrue than as, say, a brujah. the whole bit about the arm was just a bit of fun. as i am developing my character with a particular personality (and using that to decide how to respond in conversations and situations) and developing the stats to suit the kind of character she is (a very sexual, pyschopathic, unreliable lunatic so high seduction, high dementation, high intimidation in favour of skills like hacking, lockpicking, brawl, melee etc.) then in my view it is roleplaying.

I agree with Mr. Sir: I have played through the game so many times (yes, I am obsessed) that I play each character slightly different, to fit the clan of which I am playing. Even if it results in less XP, or the loss of a certain advantage, it would be what that particular clan/character would do. It makes it more enjoyable and more realistic; to me at least.

As for my favourite kill method; I would have to say the katana; it is very clean and cool.

Hmmm.... Erratic bahavior Huh?
Never thught of that for my chracter. Maybe I should try this with a Malkavian or a Tremere. Or, I could seduce really well as a Toreador or a Venture.
You are right mr sir, role playing is the way your individual character acts and most important, how it responds to others. And as a matter of fact, I am wanting to play a Malkavian and shape him/her like one of the most demented/twisted/manic depressive characters I have read in the Angel Sanctuary story (manga by Kaori Yuki.) I am planning on naming him/her Rosiel like the character. (Too bad Rociel is very androgynous even if he is a male, and the Malkavian male is well.... definitely a male.)
I could have had a lot of fun using an androgynous character in the game. ;)
Oh!!! I forgot! My favorite stealth kill is preformed by using a katana (they are elegant and subtle. Not to mention the beautiful background music) or.... feeding on the unsuspecting victim. But, "The more an enemy resists my feeding, the more scrumptious they taste."

using severed arm

i've used severed arm to stealth kill a couple of times. you can't sell it so heck, i just keep it in my inventory haha.

anyway, when you stealth kill, you stick the arm in front of the victim's neck and apply force. oh man, hear that neck crack.

personally, i like to use the katana.

have you tried it?

i know it looks silly cause the sword is crazy huge, but i like to use the sheriff sword to stealth kill even though i find it hard to believe that one could sneak around with that thing.

*drool* Weapons...
Uh, sorry.... what I mean is: Is there a regular way to get the sherrif's sword that I missed, or has it to be "bought" via the console?

As for Stealth Killing, I still go for bare hands: Stylish, silent - and not such a terrible mess as the katana makes.

I also like to play my characters a little differently based on clan, so my favorite stealth weapon now varies depending on which clan I'm playing.

Brujah: Bare hands, tire iron, or knife. He's a very "hands on" kind of guy.
Gangrel: Protean claws. Extremely visceral, and possibly the coolest stealth kill animation.
Malkavian: Baseball bat. The game plays a sound like a crowded stadium cheering when you hit a home run. I can easily imaging my Malkavian hearing that sound in his head.
Nosferatu: Knife. The only weapon for a master of stealth and espionage.
Toreador: Katana/Ta'mah'rha Blade. No other weapon says beauty and power like the katana.
Tremere: Bare hands. I very rarely use any weapons at all when playing as a blood sorcerer. When I do, it's usually a shotgun or flamethrower.
Ventrue: Katana. For the same reason as the Toreador.

My personal faves are...

Bare hands: You're a vampire. You've the strength.

Knife: Now if only you could chain the throat slash to the back stab and back breaker like Jack.

Katana: It's got style and impact from start to finish. The sudden and clear penetration of the sword; hand muffling the victim's mouth; victim shoved off the blade; and the melody.

Aside from those three, I also like using the bush hook with the Noss; a twisted weapon to suit a twisted physique. A pity there's no sound to the kill.
