Hell, I willingly gave up a vote on the board of directors that had oversight of my own position as general manager of a public radio station, because it seemed to me to contradict the integrity of my role. Speaking of food, there was this Julia Child special I saw... good lord, maybe 2 years ago... where the esteemed chef extraordinairre made a brazen comment about dieting. I really wish I remembered the exact quote, as I had actually not really known who Julia Child was up until that point, but the line immediately grabbed my respect.
If someone knows the quote, please post it; it'd be worth it, really, because it was kind of funny. Something about how Julia Child would rather eat one small bite of a steak than twenty rice paddies, or something to that effect...
