No you cannot...sorry. However you still are very powerful because you can memorize level 6 spells and backstab very effectively. Let the pure mages worry about level 7-9 spells

Without the cap remover you can't memorize 9th lvl spell in the game. As dual mage you can't memorize any 8th spell. Maybe 7th....don't remember.....

Why not? I have kensai(7)/mage(16) and far from the end. Dualed straight after cutscene. What level thief starts?
TIA,
L.
PS Anyway w/o cap removed mage cannot cast level 9. Nor there is a lot of spells. For one thing, is there any Time Stop scroll around?

@Loredweller
I believe we are talking about multiclass not dual class.

There are time stop scrolls but they are generated randomly mostly. I found 2 in my last game although i never used them. One can be found in the room where you save Priestess Demin from those Rakshakas i believe.

Another problem with mutli mages is that many of the durations or damages of spells are level based. Since your XPs ared divided between the two classes, your mage will not be able to pack as much punch.

If your looking for a backstabing thief, try a dual fighter lvl 9 to theif.

If your looking for a mage that can use more weapons, try a dual swashbuckler lvl 10 to mage.

If you have room, Jan can show you what I mean about mutli M/T.

I think i have to disagree a little, I played a mage/thief once and he turned out to be very powerful because wearing the robe of vecna, i could backstab with celestial fury on most mages and kill them outright..like most thieve can but the kicker was i could backstab and follow up with magic missile for that extra kick or follow up with the level 2 invisible spell right away...wait a few sec's and backstab again...this is very effective.

Granted he was not as powerful as a full mage or a full thief but he was very versatile and i enjoyed it.

BTW Jan is not a good role model for mage/thiefs because he's stats suck...
