[Spoiler] Jedi Training
Wholly agree. I felt the same way too when you get to know her background.darth poo wrote:I only trained handmaiden. as everyone else says, she deserves to be a jedi because of her background.

just have him in your party and do some fighting and do some LS thing like helping people and more..darth poo wrote:SPOILER: I just trained the disciple, because he used to be a jedi in training until i left to war. It was most interesting . And how do you train Bao-dur?
its easy to se if you get influenc with him...like when you'r on your ship, Bao-Dur have some difrent dialog when you talk to him...for every dialog you get the more influens you get/lose

I always train them all, and do so by power leveling them. Gives you much more flexibility and chances for success in the game in combat situations. Plus when you are required to divide your party up into 2 teams for the Dxun/Onderon mission, you can have 2 parties of Jedi. Makes it a lot more fun.
Now, I've gotten to the point where if I screw up a chance to convert someone to a Jedi, I'll usually start my entire game over. Last time, I tried doing things outside of the order I usually do, and made the mistake of bringing Bao-Dur to Dantooine instead of Atton, and right before he was to fight the Twin Bounty Hunters, I needed one more INF point, and couldn't get it. So he was level 5 fighting them. He died. And I erased 23 hours of gaming because of it.
Heheheh...a bit wierd, I know. But i've beaten the game enough now that I have to add extra goals in it to keep it entertaining.

Sometimes I do what I want, most of the time, I do what I have to.
When I first started playing the game I completed the game multiple times with only Visa and Kreia because they were already force users.
Only after I started reading the forum did I find out that I could jedify my fellow characters.
After that I played multiple games and jedified Atton and Mira in a normal manner.
Jedified Bao-Dur with the savegame editor to lower my influence with me by 14 points...
Never did manage to jedify Handmaiden, but so far I played so often with the savegame editor the game bores me and I only been to Nar Shadaar after telos.
The fact that you can make them jedy is fun, but I found out that it is not necessary to have fun in the game...
(So far it only annoyed me, because since I have known it is possible I only finished 1 out of 5 games)

I'm DS right now, and I've trained everyone I could into a Jedi. You can still be DS and train them. Follow the influence guide, and just be nice when someone who is LS is around, Handmaiden, and Atton are evil as hell. Bao is tougher, he is more in the middle but DS enough to have the tattoos. Gotta say I'm pissed though because by the time I get HK made I won't be able to get everything out of him, and Hanharr wont break. I pretty much only have onderon left but nohting from the guid will work, I think stupid Mandalore is canceling everything out.

I've trained Handmaiden and i am thinking about training Atton, though that depends on how i feel. As for Bao-Dur, well, i don't think he'd make a good Jedi from a RP point of view, and i play RPG games for RP'ing purposes. Unless it is Wizardry, then i can spend up to a day or two power-training skills. But, this is not Wizardry and i feel as a gamer, that the best game is the RP game. Anyone can have super-powered Characters, but lets face it, the game kinda gets boring when everyone in the party is the same and everyone in the party has the same playing style, there's no sense of "This person is good for X role as there Y person" and "This person is the Melee powerhouse". Nope. Having a party of 6? 7? Jedi would get boring very quickly for me. But, each to there own i guess.
I'd rather they all learn there own strengths, than all learning to become Jedi. Can't really picture Atton, let alone Bao-Dur, holding lightsabres and using Force Lightning (if they were to become force-users, they'd be Dark Side or i'd personally throw them out the air lock, for there insubordination).
As i once said to a Jedi Master, foolish enough to imprison my lackies, "I want my slaves back". Was most amusing.
RP all the way in my opinion. Makes for the most interesting game play.

It's been a while since I played because my Xbox won't read the disc anymore but I think as female I only trained Atton, and Deciple but as male I trained Boa-dour (I think Boa-Dour?) and Handmaiden

Can you train Atton as a Male? also or only female?

Your alignment shouldn't matter. It's a matter of being nice to those you want to turn into a Jedi (or performing good deeds in front of them).ioanes147 wrote:I wanted 2 know.does it matter what side your on 2 turn atton into a Jedi of anyother NPC?

One word of advice though -- if you're playing DS and want to train everyone, try to gain influence with Bao-Dur and Handmaiden/Disciple early on because you usually have to take some LS points with them.ioanes147 wrote:I wanted 2 know.does it matter what side your on 2 turn atton into a Jedi of anyother NPC?
