How is Nalia as a Thief?

Post by Klorox »

Can you get by with her as your only Thief in a party?

I'm just wondering, in case I lose Imoen in my no reloads game. I notice she has a good F/R Traps score, and I guess there I'd have to memorize quite a few Knock spells (at least until Crom Faeyr is assembled).

Anybody ever use Nalia as their only Thief? How did it work out?

I used her in one party as my only thief. One of the few that made it all the way through too. Don't remember having any problems.

I'd sooner go with Jan, myself. Admittedly he advances slower than a dual class, but he can get very good at higher levels, and especially in ToB. With Nalia, you're facing one profession of two that's simply never going to develop.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

I would usually agree with your statement Fable, but this is my no reloads game. Imoen is 16th level right now, and the only NPC who has a chance of contributing mage wise of the two would be Nalia.

If Imoen does ever bite the dust, maybe I'll find room for Jan and Haer'Dalis instead!
