What's the point in Mandalore?
You probably all know that in KOTOR II, depending on your influence, your character gets something from every party member:
1. Goto - He pays the character for reinstalling order on Telos, Onderon, Dantooine. And if u find out that he is actually a droid u receive some experience.
2. HK - 47 - You learn the lesson for killing Jedi and you can get some information about his previous master.
3. Visas - u get force sight
4. Kreia - U receive a lot of lesson from her and a lot of bonuses like max FP increase and some skill increase. She teaches the character some Force powers.
5. Handmaiden - She teaches the character precognition
6. Atton - He teaches the character to play pazaak in your head(to shield your foughts).
7. T3-M4 - U get the holocron from him if u make all hi upgrades
8. Bao - Dur - He makes the lightsaber
9. Mira - she doesn't teach you anything but u can make her a Jedi along with all your party members except the droids and Mandalore.
What does Mandalore teach the character? I don't think there is any possible way of getting influence with him. I never played DS, but when playing LS I couldn't get any influence with him. So what is his role in the game?

Mandalore, like HK-47 and T3-M4 is a link to KOTOR 1. They are the only characters from the previous game that survive no matter what you do.
Also, he helps link the Mandalorians from the KOTOR timeframe to Jango and Bobba Fett from the movies and of course the stormtroopers.
On a side note, while he didn't teach you anything, I found him to be an effective ranged fighter.

yeh i agree lonewolf mandalore bailed me out several times when i went in whole hearted and he saved me from a distance - value team member
Hmm. Much fear i sense in you. Be mindful of your feelings. Fear is a path to the Dark side. Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering ...

Mandalore really has nothing to give to you during the game... He's just there as your extra muscle, extra blaster to help you out in a fire fight.
But he might have a story... I do not know about the rest of the players have heard this but I remember him telling me that he will tell me more about the Mandalore history in time, when I had asked him about it soon after he joined the party on the Ebon Hawk. After hearing this I had tried to gain as much influence I could so he could share some knowledge but no luck... I'm not sure if I didn't gain enough influence or if it's another one of Obisidians holes in the story that they didn't get time to fill...

According to the influence guide I read, you don't get anything for influence with Mandalore.
I've just rread a influence guide and indeed there is no way to gain influence with Mandalore but if u play DS he tells u something about his history with Revan. I think that's the point in him.
There are plenty of ways to gain influence with him, mostly by letting him see you do DS things. But nothing seems to come of it.
My guess has always been that whatever it was your INF with him was supposed to get you was lost in the cuts, probably along with the place where it occurred.
On a side note, while he didn't teach you anything, I found him to be an effective ranged fighter.
A ranged fighter? Why? His STR is much higher than his DEX, so he has a much better success with vibroblades. That's what I always give him.
7. T3-M4 - U get the holocron from him if u make all hi upgrades
Plus he gives you a bonus of +1 to your WIS and teaches you to meditate (get FPs back faster) if you complete his last upgrade
You forgot to mention Hanharr, who is perhaps the best of all. Get a high enough INF and both you and he get upgrades tou your stats. You also didn't mention Disciple, but I don't believe you can get anything from him except to jedify him.

He can also do a meditation thing with you to help you regenerate FP. Its similair to the moving mediation with T3.
He also gives you healing packs when your onboard the Hawk.
He can? How do you trigger that?
I got it by talking to him. When you start a conversation with him one time he says something about liking the quiet times you share between battles. From there you just ask him to meditate with you whenever your FP is low and your not in combat. You may need a certain amount of INF with him, but I don't know for sure.
As far as the healing packs go, just ask him for one while your onship. It works just like spikes from T3, grenades from Mira, and stims from Mandalore.
Which brings me back on the thread subject, Mandalore can makes stims for your character.

Mandalore is better with a blaster than he looks. It probably has to do with some inate bonus his class gets to hit. I gave him a blaster rifle that had a very high to hit bonus and he never missed. It wasn't the greatest damage but it was fully upgradable and hence the dmg could be fixed while adding something nasty like stun. He is basically a hybrid, capable of using ranged attacks or melee. He is a bit unappreciated as your character is so powerful once he gets him, he does little but hack stunned guys up with his swords. It would have been nice to take his armour off and at least se what it does or add upgrades though.
