Is there a point to Balduran's butter knife

Post by wise grimwald »

Yes I know that it doesn't have a point but is round-ended. perhaps I should have said does it have a purpose. Through being very clumsy at the beginning of the game, I was able to import Balduran's cloak, butter knife, sword and helmet. I still cannot equip the butter knife, and Cromwell wasn't interested in it. Does anyone know if there is any reason to hang on to it.

No. The only reason you'd have it is if you imported a game from BG1. As you can't get it otherwise one can assume it has no use.

Thanks for your reply. It was helpful. I will see if it is saleable in SOA and if not, ditch it. I had been wondering if it was like the golden pantaloons, but apparently not. It would make an amusing sidequest in a mod. Apparently you can get 1000gp for it in TOSC. On trawling the web I found some quite amusing discussions on the subject in other forums. I also discovered that you can actually buy a Baldur Butter Knife on the web. Clearly someone did a search on baldur on the web, found the butter knife, and thought that it would make a good joke.

Yes, but a butter knife doesn't have a point as I intimated in my first post.
