I never had any problems with club confession before, but after i did the nosferatu warrens quest i came back to get my payment and it crashes all the time.
i tried changing my virtual memory to 2.5gig (i have 1GB real) but with no luck, i thought it might by a corrupted save so i loaded another one (when you kill boris) and it also crashes
in the crash log it always says it uses 80-90 % of the memory
also i have the newest unoffical patch installed 3.0 or 3.1 dont remember
any help would be appreciated
You should change your virtual memory back to 1.5 GB (or to OS control). Your paging file should normally be 150% of your actual memory for optimum performance, and that's not the problem.
Also, 80-90% memory consumption is not a significant problem. The game gobbles a lot of memory, and this is not an out-of-memory exception. It's an access violation. Different type of problem.
Without anything more to go on, I'd say that you had played Venus' dialog or the sound-track for her night-club outside the game in Windows Media Player. That tends to cause resource access problems that cause fatal exceptions such as you are experiencing.
Simple solution? Copy the folder "C:\Program Files\Activision\Vampire - Bloodlines\Vampire\SAVE" somewhere safe, un-install, re-install, patch to your current level, and copy the SAVE folder back to it's original location. You should be back in business. A pain, yes, and there are other ways to do it, but it would probably take longer to explain than it would take to just do the re-install. Sometimes, it's just easier to beat it over the head.
