Halo CE or Halo 2????
Halo CE or Halo 2????
Which game do you think is better? Post the good and the bads about each game and your OPINION on which game is better.
Halo CE
The Good:
*Long campaign
*Story is amazing
*co-op makes the campaign even better
The Bad:
-Multiplayer wasnt really fun
-The library is one of the worst levels in any game
-The game needed more different types of enemys
Halo 2
The Good:
*More weapons, vehicles, and enemys
*Dual-wield
*Multiplayer is one of the best
The Bad:
-You play as the Arbiter
-Short campaign
-The plasma rifle/pistol sucked in this game
---------------------------------------------------------
I liked Halo 2 better by not much, but you could tell they improved the game.

I think HALO 2 would be much better than HALO. One of the reasons DarthBob mentioned is the fact that you can dual wield weapons, such as the sub-machine gun. The other reason, to me, is that the assault rifle deals more damage (which I liked) than the previous HALO because the assault rifle in HALO is so underpowered that you need many bullets to kill an enemy. I really hated that gun so much.
Anyway, I am looking forward to the PC version of HALO 2 since I don't have an XBOX.

Anyways I like both Halo CE and Halo 2 the same, but for different reasons. I really liked the Halo CE campaign but not so much Halo 2's. I also liked the pistol from H1 but disliked all the other wepons. And in H2 i love how it has xbox live, playing against the same people got really lame in H1.
Add l Skinflute l (Lower case L's) if you think you can beat me 1v1 snipers in Halo 2.
You're right. HALO 2 is confirmed only for Windows Vista. What a pity. Well, I just hope that they (Bungie) will make HALO 2 compatible with Windows XP as well, though it's just wishful thinking on my part.Obi-Wan-Evan wrote:You need to have windows Vista to play it I think.

I would have to go with Halo CE. Halo 2 was basically the same as Halo Ce except with a new storyline and a few new weapons. Halo CE started the allmighty monster of a series that is the Halo games. Therefore, my vote falls with Halo CE

got to say Halo 2, more weapons, a cool story, fighting on earth, the brute(the big monkey man). what that was bad was that you did'nt the old assulte rifle.and some glitch to(some of the wher cool)..
but the hell was Halo (1) a gooooooood begining...but as you said FPS=BEST The library was like hell..it never ends, you'r like runing, stop and the shot till the orical opend the doors and keep doing that for some time..

I don't get why everyone hates playing as the Arbiter. The only time you can tell the difference is when you stare at the hands. Personally, I hate marines. It's nice to be partnered with someone with energy shields. I've never liked fighting the flood and I guess you do that more as Arbiter. That's the only negative thing I noticed about him. That and accidentally attacking your teammates.
When a few people die, it's a tragedy. When thousands do, it's a statistic.

It isn't that the assault rifle deals more damage, it's just they are for different situations. In Halo CE the assault rifle could barely touch any one from a distance but close up it would rip enemies into shreds, where as in Halo 2 the battle rifle is very effective but loses its advantage the closer you get to it.DesR85 wrote:the assault rifle deals more damage (which I liked) than the previous HALO because the assault rifle in HALO is so underpowered that you need many bullets to kill an enemy. A day without sunshine is like... the night
I would have to say halo 2.
For many reason. For one you have more guns. Also it allows you to peek into the covenant side of the game. Also even though its short it oddly has more detail.
The under side of it all is that the story line is almost the exact the same Halo: CE.
You fight the flood but not as Master Chief (Here by called Mc) only as the arbiter.
You stop Halo from firing. (Not as Mc) You save the day and leave a huge opening for another version of the game.
The only differences were that there were maybe 3 new levels. Bungie also admits in a press release some where that they could have done better with the game.
Graphics, although better then the first halo, sucked. Horribly sucked. Sucked to the point in which made me want to hurl my Xbox out the window.
6/8 faces were the same. Speech never differed. And who the hell thought that a plasma round would bounce off a flat side of a tank?!?
The muliplayer on the other hand was loads more detailed. I think that's the only strong point of the game was online game play. (Even though it was filled with morons who cant play )
