'Allo! I am a gaming maiden who has been playing D&D for almost a decade and find pen and paper supremely superior! Though experienced, I have tons of new creative information to absorb! I am new to the forum and hope to find some helpful hints.
I am in the process of creating a Sharakim bard and I wish to perhaps devise a weapon that involves using cloth as a sort of defensive/perrying device. Does anyone know if such a thing exists? I can't seem to find anything.

You might have to create something unique for that. If you were to develop a weapon capable of disarming, or with a built in combat expertise (at a heavier cost, of course), that could work.
For some reason, my mind wants to remember something similar, but I will have to look through the books before I can recall. I am far too... Well, let us distinguished right now to think straight.

I sent you a Private Message with an armor and shield made of cloth. Check the top right corner of the webpage to find how to access them. I couldn't find any weapons unfortunately, but the information on the shield may help you think of something. If those two things seem along the lines of what you would be interested in, I can attempt to come up with something custom for you for a weapon as well.
Edit: Not exactly cloth, but a martial alteration based on a former cloth item. The Warfan is a steel version of a lady's fan, but is an exotic weapon.

"You can do whatever you want to me."
"Oh, so I can crate you and hide you in the warehouse at the end of Raiders?"
"So funny, kiss me funny boy!" / *Sprays mace* " I know, I know, bad for the ozone"

Hey I'm new too!
Anyway, besides the war fan idea I think maybe you could do this.
You know those kimono type Japanese dresses they wear? They have a big ribbon on the back. Maybe you could find a way to "in a flick of her wrist, the Sharakim bard has her War Ribbon out and twirling dizzying patterns in the air before her." You can work out the statistics because I'm not sure what you really want. Just have this weapon look like a large kimono ribbon, and your character wears it tied around them like a belt with a fluffy bow on the back.
Hope this helps!![Smile :)](./images/smilies/)

There is also a tactical feat in CW called Raptor School that lets you use a cloak to make a feint attack. It also gives you two other abilites which are prity sweet, but I dont know if this is exactly what you need. This build would be a lot better for a rouge. Just thought i would give you the heads up.

Umm, that feat is definitely not built for a rogue. For one, the rogue could easily just gain Improved feint WAY before he could ever get that, and improved feint is better than the cloak distraction ability in this feat. For another, I don't see a rogue charging and then jumping on his enemy for more damage, rogue's are supposed to be the stealth experts IIRC.
Listen up maggots, Mr. Popo's 'bout to teach you the pecking order.

I just meant that feat would be more suitable for something that cared their opponents had no dex...and sneak attack is up that alley. And hell ya a rouge could use the jump part of the feat...they win initiative and want to get their opponent while flat footed...why not add a bit more damage to that shrugs, pluss they get barley any dex penalty so why not do it… and just to add icing onto the cake take assassin so you get hide in plain site, and now you can use hawks eye and death attack….
I think it would fit… but that’s my opinion.
ANYWAY, your bard could also use a net…make it silk and add a few gold to the price to make it a suitable cloak…however it will not be usable for battle right away.

Ehh, lets put it this way-
Ability 1-
Jumping around is not common with a rogue, tumbling is. Most rogue type characters, as in people who rely on stealth and sneaking, would not take jump past a few ranks if they took it at all, completely making this part useless. Jumping around makes too much noise for the standard rogue and would not be good for sneaking at all, PLUS this is most likely a once per battle thing since you have to charge and jump as well to gain this, you have to do a running jump I thought it said.
Ability 2-
Waving around a cloak to feint the opponent sounds cool, but the ability says "it uses base attack rather than bluff." What rogue has a higher base attack than his bluff, I mean really. 12 charisma and 13 intelligence, 4 ranks of bluff, and a human rogue will get you a decent move action feint at level 1.
Ability 3-
Again useless. Unless that rogue is also an assassin, planning on fighting someone far enough in advance to study him and gain that bonus is not going to be all too common with the rogue. Especially in a typical DND adventure, where you are fighting monsters/villains who usually gain the surprise on you.
A duelist, this would be the perfect feat for a duelist, but not a rogue.
