Enjoyable Side Quests *Possible Spoilers*

Post by Cartell »

Hey, I reall have nothing left to do in terms of the main quest and Daedric Quests. I'm looking to find some reaaly fun and or interesting side quests. So lis t any side quests and you found fun. Also listing the location of the person where the quest is started would be good too. Thanks.

The collecters quest if you go in to the alied(spelling) ruin called vervillain i think, but its right outside if the sewer that you come out in the beginning of the game. But go in there and there is a weird statue kinda looks like the statue that those welkand stones sit on anyway you will know it when you see it, but there is a bunch of bandits inside of there.

When you get the statue you can sell the statue or you can go to ambacanno or something like that, anyway he will tell you to go get the other nine in nine other ruins(he will buy them from you 4 500 gold each), when you finally get them all he will tell u to do another quest for him actually he will ask after about 5 or 6 statues but get them all. but i wont tell u all of it unless u want me to.

DB quests are the best in the game. they are a true test of wits and it's fun.
i like to make my killings a cool as possible.
even though it isn't necessary i put on all black and sneak along the shadows and jump to a roof top (acrobatics almost full) and take teh long shot over the top.
Theives guild is also quite enjoyable.
my bad if you have already done these just trying to help
Why am I fighting to live, if I'm just living to fight? Why am I trying to see, when there aint nothing in sight? Why am I trying to give, when no one gives me a try? Why am I dying to live, if I'm just living to die?

Never done DB and don't intend to. I couldn't murder people.

But Thieve's Guild is the most enjoyable of the 3 I have done - Mage, Fighter, Thieves - and I did it very reluctantly, because stealing is not my thing. However, I always liked to have my char very good at Sneak because it is SO useful dungeon-crawling. So I decided to try Thieve's. And the Quests were the best! I just love creeping around unseen!
I only stole the bare minimum required for the Quests, and only burgled two houses (both belonging to dead people - Glarthir and someone I forget), the rest came from Pickpocketing City Guards, and a few silver items picked up in Castles I was questing in. It's the Quests that are the fun.
And the Pickpocketing of Guards. :mischief:

i don't mean to disagree but the DB is the theives guild but 100000000000000000000000000 times better. they are cleverly done and most people you kill aren't just innocent old ladies who love croshae (spelling).
half the time they are bad in some way.
DB quests are unbelievably enjoyable. i did not like the idea of killing people at first but it isn't as bad as you think it is. you get some of the best items in the game as well. give it a try. if you don't like it quit.
PS Just so you don't get discouraged Rufio is only half innocent ;)

Is that the first guy you have to kill at that inn? Asleep in bed, too. I couldn't. If he was awake and fighting, maybe.

It's spelt 'crochet'. ;) But your pronunciation is correct. :D

Maybe I'm just an old school p&p roleplaying geek, but for me it all depends on the character. I've played a couple characters who refused to do several of the daedric quests on principle, and wouldn't even consider the DB (including one who never even got invited to join - zero murders or collateral damage). And then I have a classic assassin whose enjoyment of the kill is directly proportional to the helplessness of the victim.

Back on-topic, almost all of the daedric quests are challenging and enjoyable, although as I hinted earlier, some are honorable, some are morally ambiguous, and a few are extremely distasteful to a good character. Some of the miscellaneous quests are quite entertaining. The side quest to rescue Henantier requires more brains than brawn and is very cool; I think you get that one from Kud-Ei in the Bravil Mage's guild. The side quest to rescue Rythe Lythandas is more hack-n-slash, but it looks awesome and you can score an alchemical ingredient you can't get anywhere else in the game; you get that one by asking for rumors or talking to Tivela Lythandas in Cheydinhal. There are some people at Crestbridge Camp south of Cheydinhal and east of the Imperial City who are having trouble starting a new settlement. You can have some major fun messing with goblins if you help them out.
Can the answer to this question be "No"?

yeah that's him. but with most victims they speak of something about them.
with Rufio they talk about his past but i can't remember what it is when your victim is asleep it makes it easier. no cries for guards (if they live), no yelps of pain, no last attempts to cry out.
My favorite quest is in DB and i'm sure you would enjoy it.

There are 5 guests in a mansion looking for a treasure inside the mansion. There is however no treasure. This is a trap set up by the client who has had bad occurences with each guest. You are the 6th guest. The doorman locks the door as you stroll inside. Your mission: kill all the guests without letting them know who the killer is of the six. keep them guessing and make sure no one is around when you kill them. The door will not be opened until all the guests are dead. None of them seem like bad people except the redguard. He is a rude party pooper.

Well anyway talking to the guests after the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and so on deaths.
the reactions on their faces and how they choke on their words. It's very very exhilarating.

Hm. Do you get to know what bad things they have done to the host? Or are they only bad things in his opinion?, but no-one else would think they were bad? No way am I killing good guys.

I identify too much with my chars. Always did, even when playing on-line PnP.

sorry if i'm going too off topic.
in one of the quests you kill a pirate captain (((BAD)))
in another you kill a prisoner who is quite evil (the one that makes fun of you in jail) (((BAD)))
in another you fake a death and save someone
in another you kill a drug addict.
there are more but i can't name them on the top of my head.

no qualms

i ahve no objectiions to killing anyone in morrowind, but i also save whoever i can on the way too, and that slead to my fame and infamy being pretty even. i thiknk the db quersts were the best followe fdby the thieves guild. i had no porblem killin the first old guy in his bed, and took satisfaction that i managed to do it while he was sleeping at not wake him! alos, i really didnt feel bad about klillling the girl at the farm and all her offspring too not sure if those are spoilers, so just in case. but i would suggest the db with all thumbs up

A few off the top of my head

I haven't played in months so the details are lost in the mists of my memory and my kid is playing the 360 so I cant look it up right this second. Here are a few:

+ Giant potato bread quest
+ the town of unusual people quest
+ the dark ones quest
+ the quest with the female Orc " Sir Knight"
+ the vampire slayer quest

There are a few others I'll give it puzzle for a bit and supply general directions

If some of these are part of the various guild quests so on and so forth I apologize in advance

I agree with Mr Chaos on the female orc quest. to activate this one I THINK its Layawiin. go and talk to the count and he will mention an orc that claims to be a knight. the rest is self explanitory.

THe origin of the Gray prince is ok to get this one talk to the Gray Prince in the lower levels of the Arena.

If you havent done the Mages guild quest yet I found the storyline to be worth the effort.

In the Imperial city the Queswt Order of the virtuous blood(hope that is spelled halfway right) isnt too bad.

Its not hard but I did Enjoy it to some extent was the one about the corrupt city guard captain in Cheydinhal. to get this quest go to Chedinhal and talk to almost anyone about fines. then just follow all the leads.

Ok well I a cant think Of any more at the moment but If I do I will post again.

Have fun

Post removed. The person who started this thread didn't want to know that he should do the main guild quests, but what specific side quests are fun.

I'm not sure if this is a side quest, but I'll post it anyways.

In the Thieves Guild, there is a mission where you get to send Lex, a guy who is hunting for the Gray Fox and the Thieves Guild, off to Anvil for re-assignment. It's priceless. I had a lot of fun sending that nosy loser away from the Thieves Guild. No more thorn in the paw!

Post removed. Again, please list specific side quests, as the person who started this thread asked. Don't just state "mages' guild," etc.
