Slums Buildings Not Loading

Just once I'd like to be able to play this game free of errors.

Since doing Renal Bloodscalp's quest I've become painfuly aware that buildings in the Slums district are not loading. I get about 25% through, then get a Visual Error crash claiming that it was unusually terminated. Regardless of that, I've been in these buildings before and can't figure out why they're suddenly inaccessable.

Normally this wouldn't be a big problem for me because I can live without the Copper Coronet if I must, but it makes getting to Gaelan Bayle's house to advance my quest a little difficult. I would just route this by going to Bodhi, but I've got Keldorn and Mazzy in my party, so that's a negative.

If no one knows an answer to my solution I'm not above cheating. I think these things may work:

Spawning Gaelan Bayle outside of his home
Using cheats to advance to the next chapter

If anyone can tell me how to do either of these things (or give me a legit solution to my game crashes) I would be more than appreciative.

do you have a really high resolution ?? standard SoA supports up to 800x600 try setting it that low for the duration of your stay in the slums. do this in that configuration program you have to run before starting the game for the first time

another thing is that you can turn 3D acceleration on/off in the same config. program I mentioned above depending on what your current setting is try the other one

general tips: latests graphic card drivers + latest patch, if all else fails reinstall and try again

edit: you need to fix this it's not just the quest, I could live without copper corronet as well but how are you going to get the gloves for crom that are in the planar sphere

This seems to be a personal computer error that can't be attributed to the game now. The Slums are running well at this point; it's just places in Trademeet that are now giving me grief.
