Omg, Bozar imbalance?

Post by Aukai »

Did anyone find the Bozar rediculous? I finished the game, but I ran back through The Enclave/Navarro to see how I would fair in an all out fight, I pumped myself full of mentats/pyscho and kill every person without getting close to dying, the first time I fought Frank Horrigan he died in two round, I'm considering completely ignoring this gun on my 2nd run through the game, what are your thoughts?

It is powerfull, but also not the easiest one to find, especially if you don't know where to look... It's also not so easy to get ammo for it... at least not enough for long runs without finding place to get those.

It's high damage is based IIRC to critical hits, which it causes more often than other guns. BUT, it also means that with a bit bad luck, you can have more critical misses as well... I know since I have had.

Also, one must notice that if you have NPCs with you, it's quite possible that you hit them too if not careful, as well as neutral or other friendly characters as well. So you can basically turn the whole city hostile with just a bit bad luck...

My cocnlusion is that the gun is quite effective, but it has it's drawbacks too, so to use or not to use it is more matter of taste and character creation...

My last run through was a bit strange, I had Marcus/Sulik/Cassidy armed at one point with Avenger/H&K G11/Pancor, and I was hardly getting any "deadly" friendly fire at all. Must be cause my luck was 10 :P .

My 3rd run through (After this one) Will be a Stupid, Jinxed, "Yet Lucky", Rock-Throwing powerhouse :D

Yeah, I had the same experience, but with the Red Ryder LE BB Gun. Took out Horrigan my second shot with a critical. Of course, the ammuntion for both the Bozar and the BB gun are pretty heavy, so I guess that's the balancing factor..

yeah, those weapons really imbalance the game, that's why once i havent used them. in fact, i haven't used any weapon at all:

wanna a challenge? try finishing the game whithout givin' a single shot! It's kinda hard, but it's possible, (and sometimes, not so fun :S ) anyway, I tried, but i stopped in new reno i think

(ps: of course you'll need a lot of speech and patience, cause you'll need the speech to turn the fights to your side without, in fact, fighting, and patience because running away from freaking rats won't be so fun.. anyway, that's a hard think to do, and only the experienced and bored fallout players should try  )
