Ok have you tried running other games or does it happen only with NWN2?
Have yoru tried to reinstall and patch?
What version of NWN2 were the savegames made from?

Trust me, most of the names I have been called you can't translate in any language...they're not even real words as much as a succession of violent images.
I'm well into act 3 so I dont want to reinstall unless there is a way to keep my save games? I tried playing other games (Fifa world cup and Xmen) and the problem doesnt seem to happen. The games were from version 1.03. I defragged before installing but i guess i can do it again. How do i check the logs?

Try starting a new game please, that way if it chokes you know it's the game that is faulty and not the savegames. In order to reinstall just copy the savegame folder (though I do not believe they are removed unless specified). Make sure if you reinstall that you do so without running background applications. But again run a new game first, if the new game does start it's the savegames but if the game also chokes on a new game it's probably the game or something else.
Logs can be found under control pannel, administrative tools and take the event viewer. This MIGHT contain something, I do not know if NWN2 keeps it's own logfile but you might want to check the directory/folder.
Also figure out if you changed any hardware or software between te time it ran smoothly and when it started crashing.
Good luck.
