Where is the darn horn? (spoiler asked)

Post by Loremaster »

I have finished spellhold, had a chat with Saemon, who told me to get a horn from the room of the pirate lord's girlfriend (at night).

I searched ALL THE DARN cabinets in there at night but no frecking horn! I did a search on this board and apparently everyone found it cause i saw no previous people asking this.

Am i retarded or something?

If I remember it correctly, you have to fight the pirate lord. It's been a long time since I've been there, so I could be wrong.

Nope, just tried that!

It's not on the pirate lord's corpse, and neither is it in his home.
Maybe it's a bug.

A cluaconsole would be helpful too

Did you look on the table?

I'm pretty sure it's just sitting on the table in the Pirate's girlfriend's home (not the pirate lord's house). You can just pick it up after she and her other beau are out of there.
Or am I thinking of the horn of Valhalla?

I did this a few days ago - got the quest to get the horn (as if I need asking!) and waited until dark before going in the house on the level above the brothel (left side) - went in - let the lovers speak to each other - then grabbed horn from table (I recall) they woke up and I legged it. I thought it was in a cupboard before, but it was on the table.
it has no use apart from fleeing the island.

Two things which you need to pay special attention to with this quest:
1: Make sure you leave the inn after Saemon left it. Weird things might happen if you don't.
2: Visit the Pirate Lord's love at midnight.

If it still doesn't work, you could either add the item with a program called Shadow Keeper, or indeed with CLUAConsole.
The right code, is: CLUAConsole:CreateItem("[item name]")
And you can find the correct item here.
I think, but I might be wrong, the item code is misc9g, which makes the console CLUAConsole:CreateItem("misc9g")

I was in the same house, no lovers, just a few cabinets.

I wonder what causes some characters to fail to load.

In this play-through, I am missing the three characters involved in the Paladin-orphan mini-quest in the graveyard, as well as the people involved in the little story about someone's uncle being buried cheaply or not leaving an inheritance or something like that (also in the graveyard). The other side quest and characters for that area did take place.
Minor characters, to be sure, but I'd hate for that to happen with Bodhi or Sarevok.

Concerning the first, I sometimes forget something which results in not spawning the quests.
With the Paladin, you need to visit him during the bright of day, preferably when the sun is at its highest peek. Any later and they're not there. This quest really seems time-orientated.
