More advice...

Post by rmemmett84 »

The Drow in the first cellar who talks about some sort of swan is giving me fits. I've tried to beat her and her entourage about 25 times now and get by butt kicked everytime. Is there a secret strategy I'm missing?
Success takes commitment. In a bacon and eggs breakfast the chicken is involved but the pig is committed...be the pig!!!

Yes. Ignore her speech about that swan and attack immediately!

The whole speech about the Bodach swan is only a trap to let you wait while her warriors surround you. She even admits that if you wait long enough and ask the right question - the whole Swan does not exist in the game.

So you can safely ignore any other option and attack immediately and you will (at least I did last time) gain a surprise round to gain a first strike against her.

And of couse the usual preparations before any major fight: Bless/Haste/Bulls Strength and whatever spell you have use before the battle starts so that you hit more often and harder.

Thanks. Great advice. If you believe it this is my 2nd time trough the game and I had never bothered with bulls strength or blessing before. Wow what a difference. Should help dramtically from here on out.
