NPC dialogue ( mild Spoilers? )

Post by IHNIWTR »

Hello there. I recently reinstalled KOTOR after being washed by a wave of nostalgia. At first everything seemed fine until i realized I was missing some of the dialogue between my team members ( for instance the bit between Carth and Bastila on Dantooine about her losing her lightsaber ). I have no idea why this is, or what I need to do to make it the dialogue reappear. Is it a bug? A random event? A specific location? Something else maybe?

Oh, and this is sort of an addendum, but is there any dialogue between HK and T3? I never heard them talk to one another even during my first playthrough.

Thanks in advance.

Hello, IHNIWTR. Welcome to the forums. :) As for why there is no dialogue between Carth and Bastilla, I think that could be a random event. Sometimes, it will take a while and sometimes, it doesn't. As for me, it took a while before I got Bastilla to talk to Jolee, the last time I played the game.

I don't think there is a dialogue between HK and T3. I've looked up the character guides in GameFAQS and there is no mention of a conversation between HK and T3.

Bastila-Carth

I also just reinstalled KOTOR after years of inactivity. I'm not entirely sure but, if you say they're on Dantooine, then I think the first couple of dialogue segments (lost lightsaber, complacent council) should occur before leaving Taris. I remember holding off on the conversations until after Taris and, as a result, a few were missing.

I'm not really sure of this myself but if I recall correctly, (Spoilers, please highlight)
Spoiler
I manage to get the dialogue between Bastilla/Carth and the Bastilla/Mission dialogue while I was still in Taris.

There is no dialoge between T3 and HK that I know of in KOTOR but there is one in KOTOR 2 when you enter the ship again and HK is arleady been put together.

There is actually, although it is a conversation of a different kind. I can think of at least one instance on Tattooine where HK47 will have something to say if you complete a certain task in the desert with T3. But that's a dialogue triggered by a quest, not the semi random sort like the dialogue between Carth and Bastilla about loosing her lightsaber.
