Yes: quite nicely done, with very hard puzzles, and lengthy combat. It's been some time since I played it, however.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

Played the demo, didn't seem my sort of game :/ Not as popular as KotOR, but there's still plenty of people out there who know of it ;)

Hmm - perhaps I should look into it then :)
How old is it - it was my understanding that the Wizardry series was rather aged?

It’s an old school rpg, but surprising the graphics still hold up to this day. They are not great, but they hold their own against a NWN. And yea, it was released in 2001. If you are anti-old school then stay away. If you don’t mind, then give it a try. I was expecting nothing with this game and I was very surprised by how much I liked it.

Anyway, if you like a lot of combat, then this game’s for you. It has a decent story, but the emphasis is on character generation and combat. I still go back to this game every once in a while; it’s a game that I played almost as many times as BG2. It has that replay-ability factor that keeps you coming back.

Not sure if i'll get slated for this, since the last post was made in Feb (that right?) but that depends. I like power-training skills, but it is NOT necessary.

The only thing i don't like (and correct me if i am wrong) is the fact that you have to be very careful how you train your characters if you want the maximum potential out of them. For example, there is a Maximum level to a character, correct? Long time since i played, but i think it is level 20. If you want to Max out the most stats, you have to max them out at the end of the game.

For example, don't focus on Strength and Vitality. You'll max them out at about level ~15, and then you'll be unable to max out any other stats, since the game forces you to split your 6 stat points, with a 3 point max in one skill per level up.

So, for best results, try training three skills simontaniously. You can Max, i think, three stats by the end of the game (level 20).

By stats, i mean Strength, Vitality, Dexterity, etc. I think the Max is three stats maxed out. Then you get to train in the elite skills once you have maxed out the stats to 100.

That is the only thing i don't like about the game. I think you should be able to put all 6 points into one stat. People would argue that you could max out one skill early on and it would make the game too easy and not in the spirit of the game, but it is annoying having a cap of 3 points per stat at level up. I've gotten to level 20 people and had 98 in a skill, and 3 points able to spend, but unable to use them due to the 3 / skill cap. It is annoying.

However, i could be wrong in that Maximum level. Long time since i played and i never was able to break past level 20. Is that right? Max character level 20, 6 skills points / level, 3 point / skill maximum?
