Silver dragon blood [SPOILER]

Post by KingNothing »

Right now im playing with an evilparty and my PC is a Fighter/theif. I really want the human leather armor for my PC. So my question is when should i kill that silver dragon because i will miss loads of XP in the underdark if i just kill it right away. Is it possiple to go back to the underdark and kill the silverdragon after you have completed all the quests down there and make your way back to the surface?

Why not act "good" temporarily, and only kill the silver dragon at the last moment, after you've decimated the city and its inhabitants? Admittedly this takes a well-prepared, fairly high party, but I'm assuming here that you've already done many of the chapter 2 quests.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

Yeah im planning to do all the stronghold quests before i go to spellhold. Just so i have a chance against the silver dragon. So should i just kill the dragon just before i could give her the real eggs or should i wait untill she shows me the way out of the underdark and then kill her. If you can kill her in the human form, or will she turn back into a dragon and go back to her cave?

If you're playing as an evil party then why bother to do what the silver dragon wants? I always let the drow sacrifice her eggs to the demon, it's really fun seeing her reaction when you return to see her. :D

If you give her the eggs and come back to her cave then she'll still be in the human form, I'm not sure about the loot on her though.

Ok maybe i should check it. If i can kill her. It would be right to offer the eggs to the demon yourself when you play an evil party. But i think you will miss alot of XP that way. And my PC is pretty power hungry.

You don't really lose that much XP. You get 10,000 less XP for killing the dragon then for giving her the stolen eggs back. However in the evil path you're forced to fight your way out of the drow city, and can gain a lot more XP that way. Don't forget to clear out everyone inside the buildings to for more XP.

The downside though, you can both kill the dragon and the entire drow city when playing as a 'good' party to, but it's just not as fun and evil that way.

Be sure you can take on Adalon, she's alot tougher than Firkraag. I was just messing around as I never play evil, and just wanted to see how hard a fight it would be. Believe it or not she didn't just roll over and die to my level 15-16 team which would rape Firkraag within 4-5 rounds.

well i have a question,

for what do you need this silver dragon blood ?
i checked cromwell but there is no item i need her blood for :/

i just made it like already mentioned, let the drow sacrifice the eggs and then fought her, obtaining, blood, note and some gold

btw you could kill her after you gave her the real eggs, just return to her layer and fight her, she will be in an android form but will act like a dragon, and the loot is also the same

The blood is used to finish a quest started in the Bridge District. As the thread starter pointed out, it has something to do with crafting a piece of armour.
Do the Skinner Quest and pay extra attention to what you might find in his house after you have confronted him.

For more info/spoilers, suggest you read the walkthrough here on the site. Alternatively ask here in the forum.

Well, my experience with Adalon when playing evil, is that it is best to trick the Drow(again) in order to trade the eggs yourself. You'll get a very powerful halberd this way.

I wouldn't rely on Adalon being in her lair after giving her the eggs. In my games she disappears and is never seen again. So the best and most profitable course(for a good party) is returning the eggs to Adalon, getting the quest xp points(the crossbow is stupid nonetheless) and killing Adalon while she's battling the Drow near the exit. However, Adalon almost immediately uses Dimension Door in order to run away, so you must kill her in 1-2 seconds. Once gone she's gone forever. Spell Sequencers&Triggers surely help a lot in this situation(in an arcane heavy party). Fighters will most probably fail to deal enough damage in 2 seconds.

Adalon isn't much tougher than the other dragons, you just oughtta know what are her moves. Her breath and spells are Cold, so Protection from Cold via spells, scrolls and items is helpful. She often uses Paralyzation, so Free Action should be in place. There is a ring for that, as well as certain spell. Also there are less restrictive items which grant bonuses to saving throw vs Paralyze(Skin of the Ghoul, various potions and so on)

She also uses some Enchantment type spells, against which Chaotic Commands or proper items granting immuniities might help.

Her MR is lower than Firkraag's and she doesn't have Heal at her disposal(just Cure Medium Wounds), so dumping a couple of Incendiary Cloud spells and running away after that should be sufficient to kill her even without Lowering her Resistance.
