i 've already finished BG2 but because is so good i decide to play it whit a party create by me i choose the protagonist a human mage only to have a familiar is the only way then a undead hunter so he can't be drained and
can use the carsomyr the best sword in BG2 then a ranger with two long sword because bastard sword in Bg2 sucks a warrior with 5 points in hammer the best way to Crom Fayer then a cleric to heal, bless and litany a thief for traps and backstabbing i shose short sword i don't like katana you can find in bg2. What's your multiplayer party?

lol Waverly! I found myself out-of-breath while reading Angel's post.

My thoughts for the best mulitplayer party:
Barbarian (Flail of Ages and Crom Faeyr or Defender of Easthaven, Crimson Chain, etc.)
Undead Hunter (Carsomyr)
Berzerker/Thief Dual (Celestial Fury, Night's Gift, Mercykiller Ring, etc)
Archer (Tansherons or Gessen and Tuigan bows)
Skald (Zerth Blade)
Sorcerer or Berzerker/Cleric
Barbarian, Undead Hunter for the front line with backup from the Berzerker/Thief who also serves as a scout. Archer provides fire suppport and Skald powers up all those fighters. Cleric spells from Undead Hunter and Archer. Mage spells from Skald. I just don't know whether I would rather have a full mage or give up on level 7 and 8 mage spells (except from scrolls) for another decent fighter with full cleric spells.

Human Undead hunter
(Carsomyr+5, Ring of Gaxx, Ring of prot.+2, Red dragon platemail, boots of speed, helmet of balduran, cloak of reflection, amulet of magic resistance +5%, Girdle of frost giant strength)
Half-orc Fighter, plain
(FoA&Celestial fury, (can't remember the platemail), ring of Gaxx, ring of regenaration, ioun stone, boots of speed, amulet of magic resistance +10))
Elf Swashbuckler
(Equalizer&the longsword with sunray, Shadow dragon armor, ring of free action, ring of invisibility, cloak of non-detection, boots of stealth, gloves of pick pocketing, girdle of hill giant strength)
Elf Cleric/Mage
(Staff of cleric, robe of adventurer, +3sling, amulet (increases one 2nd lvl spell, ring of invisibility, Ring of prot. +1, gauntlets AC 6))
Human Sorcerer
(Staff of Magi, Ring of earth control, Robe of good archmage, gauntlets AC4)
Human Sorceress
(Staff of cleric, ring of prot.+1, gauntlets AC3, Cloak of electrical resistance)
(They all had/have cloaks/boots, i just can't remember the names or the affects of the rest of the eq's)
This party is very heavy in magic due the 2 sorcerers/ess, My two tanks can handle almost anything, and my swashbuckler has over 150 in pickpocket, lockpicking, and over 100 in hide in shadows, smth like 80
in snares etc.
My mages can lower dragons resistance in two seconds by 180%!(or any other creature), of course this is with removed exp cap, and lvl 50 rules, but believe me, this party rocks
(for those who want challenge, don't choose this since it doesn't offer any challenge, i went through twisted rune with my first try...)
Sure there's better partys but i like this one... i raised this topic back because i'd also like to know what you think is the best mplayer party (besides the one showed in BG2 related stuff on these pages)

My current party (in the asylum) which is going pretty well:
Monk
Ranger/Cleric (Dualed)
Sorcerer (prot)
Kensai/Mage
Assassin
Swashbuckler
Currently my 2 main killers are the R/C and Assassin. In that order (but the assassin is catching up - never really used them or backstabs before, but she's going great!).

Nice party? Try this:
Raw fighter
Beserker | Cleric
Sorceror
Bounty hunter
Archer
Heck, the archer's optional. Have 4 specialists, make them nasty and experienced, now that you don't have to share.
Then again, I'm having fun with:
Cleric / Mage
Kensai
Swashbuckler (should've taken BH) | Fighter
The thief one's nuts- 5 + in short sword and short bow, with long sword coming up quickly.
