I got Oblivion when it came out, but stopped playing for a couple reasons... mainly the difficulty I was having as an archer as I continued going up in level, the pointlessness of dungeon exploring (scaled items) and a few other annoyances.
I was interested in getting back into the game, and was told by a friend to check out some of the mods. So I did, and there are so many that it is rather overwhelming.
I found that "essential top 10" list of mods, but wanted to ask you guys instead.
Which mods are MUST haves? I'd really like to deal with the monster and item scaling problem the most.
Mod Help
Check out the mods sticky in this forum for suggestions. I know there are a couple of good leveling/balance/realism type mods mentioned in there.

I agree with Belthan. As you may have been told elsewhere, no two players have their own top 10 mods exactly alike. In fact, most of us have completely different ideas of what we like, so checking out everybody's personal favorites in the sticky thread about mods makes sense.
I'm going to close this thread, as a result. And because Elder Scrolls, although a great board, has literally 2-5 new threads a day from people wanting a list of the best mods.

To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
