PlaneScape area file not copying... HELP please!!

Post by Loremaster »

Lately I reinstalled my original planescape torment game on my hard drive. Because I wanted to play this awesome game a second time in a wave of nostalgia since I bought it in 2000. But there is one file that planescape couldn't find, and that is AR0109.bif, which is the Area file that contains the Buried village. My original CD2 gives a cyclical reduntion error message when I try to copy the file to my game dir. The rest of the files on cd2 and the other cd's copied without incident. I tried cleaning the disk several times but that didn't work either.

If there is anyone who has PS Torment currently installed, and who has the file, please contact me and send me the file AR0109.bif located on CD2 of the game.

Please contact me on msn if you have the file so we can initiate a msn file transfer, or you can email it to me also if you'd like.

Help would be greatly apreciated!! :)

My suggestion would be to use a CD copier program to drastically slowdown the read rate of your CD drive. This should increase the chances of getting a good read, if that's still possible; then copy the file to another CD, or onto your hard drive. I've used it myself, successfully. Try it a few times, if it doesn't work the first time.

Can you just mail me the file instead?

Asking members to send you a file that belongs to a copyrighted game, is against forum rules:

Please contact the game manufacturer for assistance.
