Spellhold bug problem plz help!!

hi ive been playing the game with a monk and im curently at the spellhold dungeon.
in the west side of the map theres a room with statues and a chest in the middle with lots of items(hourglass boots,medallions e.t.c)
Ive found the right order in wich to place them and ive also checked the walkthrough in this forum for the order in wich the items must be placed but
when i place all the items nothing happens!!
i have also installed the latest official patch
after i saw that nothing happened i also installed the unnoficial baldurash patch but still nothing...
i need to get the items from the chest in order to leave this place...
So any suggestions would be welcome

I know this is not much help, but I just wanted to point out that the *order* you place the items in the statues is not important - all that matters is that each item is in the right place. When that happens you get a couple of items in the central chest. Some of the puzzle items have obvious answers to the riddles, others may require some thought. Then there are one or two that never made much sense to me. Maybe check this last category and swap a couple of objects around?
