confused spell

Post by mistered »

My warriors troop( 3 warriors, one cleric and thief and one mage ) got into level 5 DE and they eliminated the dangerous archers. I thought things would be ok but then they got hit with poison and confused spell. The later one is really obnoxious and it seems recurrent. I think that axaltation spell will probably cure it but my cleric at level 7 and she hasn't got it yet. So what I am going to do? I gave them mummy's tea and antidote but no cure. for confused.

Oh, now I think of (dispel), it might work? I am going to try it anyway.

Dispel works. Or you could retreat the non-confused characters far away and wait for confuse to wear off.
The only reason you got poisoned or confused in that area is because you stepped on a trap. There are plenty of those on that level.

It seems recurrent. When I thought it has worn off, it came back and hurt the member. And I also found found out it was the traps.

Exaltion will work too. I do not understand why a lvl 7 character would not have it, as it is a lvl 3 clerical spell and should be available at character level 5. Did you mean that you didn't have it memorized?

I sell most priest scrolls, but always keep a few of the most useful - generally healing, removal of status effects, and raise/resurrect.

Most traps can be "disarmed" by walking through them, but DE lvl 5 has traps that do not disarm until a thief deliberately removes them. This level is the biggest reason not to play the game without a thief. I've done the level without one, and it was painful.

re: exaltation

You're right. Exaltation is a new priest spell added to HoW. I must have read IWD II and thought it's a level 5 spell. That why I did not look lower. Sorry.

Exaltion is lvl 3 in IWD2 as well. I suspect you may have been thinking of Chaotic Commands.
