Help - Getting same error on any mod install

also posted in tech support area incase that's more appropriate

im getting this error on 80% of mods ive tried to install:

error: Unix.Unix_error<20, "stat, "./DATA/DDANYTO103.BIF>

any thoughts would be appreciated.
