FALLOUT 3 may never see the light of day

Post by goldmouse »

I love Fallout. Even to this day I play Fallout 1 and 2. I am hoping that fallout will see the light and we will see the version 3 soon. Maybe the project is scraped? Does anyone have a solid infromation like is it realy in production still? And if so? what type of game will it be? Will it be the cool game we all came to love? Or will it be turned into a first person shooter game destroying
what we all waited so long for? So many questions and so few answers. Screen shots? All the Game shopes I visit tell me they think Fallout 3 has been scraped and will never see the light. Just yesterday I went to a Place called Game Spot in the Carlsbad Mall in Southern CA and asked if they could call it up on there computer. There responce is the Game has taken to long to make and games that has taken this long to make usually get scraped. If or when it ever comes out? I will rush to the store and buy 1 copy. And if it is as good as I am hoping I will buy a few more copies. ;)

Well, if you read around the forum you'll notice many peoples various oppions about Fallout 3.

I have no dobut it'll be made. Bethesda would be foolish to not do it now they've paied for the name, yet I'm not holding my breath for neither a release date or expecting much in the name of quality in the game. But we'll have to see for when Bethesda finally decides to release some worthwhile information about it, which is more then an E3 poster :)

Fallout 3 MMORPG?

I got a strange feeling that Fallout 3 will be like a World of Warcraft or Everquest type of 3D - MMORPG if it is taking this long to produce... and come to think of it, that wouldn't be half bad actually ha ha. The problem will be if there is a monthly subscription fee...

I have seen a few things online about it being worked on but it was like december of 06.. Dunno how long that stuff takes to complete or what but you would think with all the hype and fanbase that they'd be updating people on a Fallout 3....

heh I had a jpeg on my comp heh i'm such a fallout nerd :)

Well, as far as I know, Bethseda is pretty tight-lipped regarding the development of Fallout 3. I could be wrong but I honestly have no idea whether they've started development on Fallout 3 or not. :(

The duty of every soldier is to protect the innocent, and sometimes that means preserving the lie of good and evil, that war isn't just natural selection played out on a grand scale. The only truth I found is that the world we live in is a giant tinderbox. All it takes...is someone to light the match" - Captain Price

There isn't anything wrong with the difficulty settings of the games. Stuff has to be beatable in order to be fun. Yet, you can still make it challenging enough that the player is required to think tactical instead of straight brute force like in a lot of RPGs. No one likes playing a game that's ridiculously hard. They should use the difficulty system in FOT, which I'm most familiar with, and modify it to their own liking or at least use it as some kind of example.

Everything else mentioned in that picture I agree with. Btw, it's kinda hard to read the content under each point. I'll assume it was made with that intent.

The game is underway.

Part of the reason its has taken so long is that they had very few people working on it while Oblivion was in development. Now that Olivion is done the real work can begin.

The website is up and a teaser movie is coming soon. Have a look at fallout.bethsoft.com.
