Missing character portraits and voices... help!

Just recently, the mini-portraits that appear in the bottom of each save file have disappeared. Also, the image of the saved-game screen has been replaced by a black one. While not necessarily a problem, it is a bit of an inconvenience. Another thing that I've just had happen is that many of the different voices, about 8 of them, no longer work. Once again this is more of an irritation than a real problem but I'd like to fix it if I can. Any advice?

Note: I am running IWD with How, TotL, and Auril's Bane installed. Other modifications include the Level 8-9 Mage Spells and Level 40 Rules Pack.
