I've got a problem...someone help.V__V
Okay. I'm having the most ridiculous problem. I'm on the Ming must die quest and I can't get the stupid red doors that are blocked by the board open. I know all I have to do is push it out of the way, but it won't let me. I spent half an hour running at the thing that sticks out from the door at different angles. I could really use a tip on what to do.
Ming must die spikes
That happens... You get stuck and can't move the spikes.
You can try to move them by holding them, but it's no sure thing either. There are 2 sides where spikes come out from both, so try to other side, if you haven't already, jumping the plate so that the spikes don't come out.
There's more than 1 way around, so find the other way instead of frustatingly try to run past the spikes. If both ways you find yourself twarted by them, try moving them a little with the "E" (move/activate) key.

There are loads of threads on this forum with many possible solutions to this problem. Search for Ming and you will come across them
The trick that works for me is to stand right next to the bar across the door, as if you are going to push it, save then reload. After that it usually is possible to move the bar.
Another option is to use the no-clip console command to allow you to just walk through the door.

I got it with the save/load trick, thanks Mr_Sir. Youre a frickin genius. And I got the console/no_clip working too, but sadly got addicted to god mode to finish the game. That was after attemping to beat Ming Xiao for an hour. That bitch was HARD. I mean, I gave her everything I got but her twin that spawned after taking 1/8th of her health off was way too much. What was everyone else's tactic? I mean Sheriff was much easier than her.

Or, of course, Thaumaturgy.Wesp5 wrote:Flamethrower and Celerity and only using sharp weapons at the end to avoid tentacle spawning.

And ignore any spawns, focus all your damage dealing on Xiao.
There are many tactics that work on her but using your disciplines in combo is a good start (have some blood ready though). There's no reason to hold back on them at this stage. Usually my disciplines determine my tactic.
One thing that also helps: get close and personal (even with a firearm), when you're close Xiao seems to have some trouble hitting you with her tentacles. (and any spawns)

I thought using cutting weapons seem to cause spawns more easily, but that might be an impression.Flamethrower and Celerity and only using sharp weapons at the end to avoid tentacle spawning.
Thanks guys, that info helped a lot. I whipped that lady's ass.
