Monk of the Dark Moon/Sorc MC bug

Post by Silver~ »

I'm soloing through the game as a Monk/Sorcerer right now and came across a bug. Level 10 monk, level 1 sorceress.

My unarmed attacks are +12/+9/+6

I'm not hasted nor do I have any extra items giving me an extra attack. When I level my Sorceress level up to 2, my unarmed attacks change to +14/+9 and I lose an attack. Does anyone know why this happens? Is it a bug? I boosted the levels a bit and brought her to like level 17 monk level 6 sorceress and it had me at 3 attacks when I believe it should be 4. Is there a mod to fix this? I have the official patch installed and weimer's fixpack.

Upon further testing I've found that I'm not randomly losing the attack, I'm losing the monk flurry bonus.

My level 20 cheat console leveled monk was 19/16/13/10 on attacks. After adding two levels of sorcerer, it was 19/14/9/4

/sigh. Is there a mod that fixes this? I really wanted to play a Monk of the Dark Moon/Sorcerer, but this is an unacceptable penalty. Dalekeeper 2 doesn't allow for adding extra attacks like Shadowkeeper did. Anyone know a fix?

It has been known before that the faster monk attack progression disappears when he gets BAB from other classes.
I'm quite sure this is no bug, it's intended. It wouldn't make sense if a monk1/fighter10 got more attacks per round than a fighter15.

I wouldn't bother too much, you can't get more than 4 base attacks per round anyway, which will be reached with a BAB of 16, that's monk12/sorc14 or monk20/sorc2 for example.
Even a BAB of 11 (monk12/sorc4) can yield the maximum allowed number of 5 attacks per round if the haste spell and a certain extra attack granting item are cumulative.

Yeah, it really sucks. In the pen and paper (real) version, you'd use either one of the other BAB table.
