Crash and Burn....HELP!!!!!!!

Recently picked up the Icewind Dale set with all three games. Trying to play Icewind Dale II and it keeps crashing on me. I get maybe 5 or 10 minutes into it and then it locks up on me. This is the DVD version. I haven't done a patch on a game in a long and I am not sure if this version has a patch avalible. I also seemed to have this problem when I was playing Neverwinter Nights Diamond edition so I am wondering if it is the games or my PC giving me grief. My PC is pretty new and I have lots of RAM and great video card. Well any help would be great. Thanks for any info.....CPC

I suspect your computer may be a bit too advanced if it's really new. What version of DirectX are you using? IWD2 seems to work best with version 9.0.

I've heard that Vista can be a problem as well when running older games.
