Since I don't think that each one of these questions are worth one thread each I will post these questions in the same thread.
Regarding the silver sword (Gith's sword): I were not able to get alot of influence with Jerro due to my character and he never really were able to get along well with eachother. Due to this I pretty much neglected him through the whole game.
What I'm wondering is if there is any explanation as to why the silver sword broke when Jerro were fighting The king of shadows? (Intro scene) Althought it didn't break in the fight that you have with him (K.O.S) with your character.
Another thing I'm wondering about is the tatoes on Jerro's face. Do they have any practical use? As in him gaining any powers from them, or are they some kind of mark made by he's captors (down in the hells)? Are the tatoes ever explained in the game or are they just there to make him look "evilier"/"cooler"?
I tried to search for the answers (search feature in forum) but were not able to find them.
I've thought about starting an new game, and try to gain influence with Jerro in that one (and not neglect him), but I don't have time for that at the moment.
Answers on the questions and/or theories posted about them (the questions) are appreaciated.

You do not get an explanation for either of those.
As for why the sword breaks, well, then if it didn't there'd be less of a story behind it, so I would think it is just a plot element.
An the tattoos, well - cosmetic. But one could always speculate, but unless something official is release, it'll be just that.

It is my understanding that at least part of a silver sword's power comes from the sheer willpower of the person wielding it. And in the case of Jerro vs KoS it probably required every bit of concentration by Jerro, and perhaps he was simply not strong enough in the head, so to speak, to keep it together against such a powerful foe.
As for tattoes well nothing is for sure here. But if you ever player a game called Planescape: Torment, then you'd know that there is a certain fallen Dabus who lives in a city of Sigil that can make tattoos which grant all kinds of bonus to the person who they are tattooed to. The reason that may have to do something with Jerro is that he did do some plane traveling I believe, and it's possible that he visited Sigil at some point and those tattoos he got while he was there.
It's just speculation though, they can just as easily be for looks, but knowing Jerro and his unrelenting search for more power it wouldn't suprise me if those tattoos were made by the same that fallen Dabus fella.

Idea...
I like the idea of the sword requiring concentration to work properly. It reminds me of the sword Dakon had in PS:T - the one that would change depending on the 'status' of the mind of the person who weild it. Etc. An unfocused mind would make the blade dull, and the durability of the sword poor.
The thought of having Jerro travelling to Sigil doesn't seem that far stretched since it seems that he have been a visitor in the lower planes for some time. If you are going to the lower planes woulden't the best place to find a portal to them be Sigil: the city of gates (portals).
It's a bit 'sad' that their is no information given on these subjects in the game. Although theorizing of the subject is all good fun so it's not that bad.
Then again I quess it's like Xandax mentioned: the breaking of the sword is just a plot element and the tatoes are most likely there for cosmetic reasons (Jerro woulden't look half as evil if it wasen't for the tatoes).

Another thing that you can say that might connect Torment with NWN2 is the fact that Chris Avellone, the writer for Torment, just happens to be the writer for NWN2 as well.
Heh, now those possibilities of Silver Sword being a lot like Dak'kon's sword and Jerro's tattoos being from Sigil seem a bit closer to probabilities.
There are a few other references to Torment and Sigil, though most of them are rather subtly. The mage that you can recruit for your keep is from Sigil. And then there is a dialogue with Zhjaeve where she mentions actually knowing Dak'kon.

"I have known many heroes before they knew themselves. I knew Chardassa's Heart, whose mercy turned aside Vilquar's Blade at Sargassa's End. I knew Oliss' Sacrifice before he gave his mind, filled with well-crafted lies, to turn aside the plans of the illithids and shield us from a Third War. And the tale of Dak'kon is known to all zerths... when his loss of faith shattered the walls of Shra'kt'lor, and finally, when he came to know himself again at the Pronouncement of Two Deaths As One. So when you ask if I think you can save us all, know that I have seen others with your will move the planes themselves and turn aside war. Trust this. Trust yourself, and even the King of Shadows will fall."
Intresting, I didn't know that PS:T had the same writer as NWN 2.
I remember as well that the mage who wanted to move into the mage tower in your keep said he was from Sigil.
To hear Zhjaeve talk about Dakon was really nice. I didn't find her pronouciation (spelling?) that intresting although she compared it to the: "Two Deaths in One" pronouciation (or some such, PS:T, Dakon, etc.).
It is nice to see how they have weaved in some information from the other games into this one (to be more specific: info from PS:T).

if i recall, during jerro's fight with the king of shadows, he lost his focus because he heard an infant crying and then turned to see a mother holding her baby.
Not to jump to conclusions here, but i do believe that it is you character that was crying and distracted jerro during the fight. There a few reason behind this, one being that it would explain how a shard of the sword would go through your mother and into you. (s= shard, m= mother, u= you) --> [M]
