Vista problems....

Post by Vamburlation »

Well I installed the game and everything, and everytime I go to load into the game it closes with the message vampire.exe closed because of an unknown error. I'm pretty sure it's because my computer is vista... I know this ain't alot of info on it but I'd be thankfull for any advice.

Vista

Hi,

I'm using Windows Vista Home Edition (32-bits) with Intel Pentium Dual Core processor and I don't have any problems with running the game (apart form the bugs inside the game).

Windows Vista itself is not the source of problem.

If you can post the latest crash log (found in C:\Program Files\Activision\Vampire - Bloodlines) we may be able to help. Unknown error just means something that the programmers didn't anticipate, and it could be nearly anything. No Windows programs don't crash without a clue. There is an error code somewhere, and the log files are where it is most likely to be.

Ok, yea i know it's not vista but, I updated my graphics card driver and still doesn't work, I open the game and the screen goes black and the vampire.exe closed message pops up.
Well here's the error file, i left out the modules because it was excessively long.

running in Vista

I'm running it it Vista 64 Ultimate edition. I "told" the game to run in winxp sp 2 mode and it works great. Righr click ICON, properties, compatibilty, pick winxp, sp2 from the drop down box and check the run as box. Nothing else checked. Click OK.

Hello everyone, I'm new to this board.

Anyway, I am having this exact same problem with my copy on my Compaq laptop with Vista Home Premium.

Any and all suggestions and advice is greatly appreciated.
