Hubologist Base Bug - Please Help!

MINOR SPOILERS!

I'm pretty far into the game, taking the "stupid guy on Psycho" route to the Hubologist base, been playing 30-summit hours, and have come up against a bug thats driving me freaking insane. I have just accepted the assassination contract from AHS-9 to kill the Shi leader, and I'm about to leave when, there they are, all the energy barriers are back up, and I can't leave the bleeding base! (Neither will the lead scientist upgrade my Power Armour whatever I do).

I've tried lock picking em', and repairing them. I've tried killing guard to make the ones behind the barrier open them, and I talked to K-9 a bit and killed the "celebrities"... didn't expect that to work I just got bored of trying.

Please help, I don't want to have to re-start! Is there any way of deleting the Hubologist base from my save file, and not killing the game? Or a cheat to teleport, or walk through walls (which I believe was once a bug for the base itself, so if thats possible, please tell me how to begin that bug). I think my version of the game is 1, and completely unpatched. Thanks

(I looked around the forum for the answer, but evidently couldn't find it, sorry if theres already a post answering this)

I hate to say it but the Hubologists are an invalid way to finish the game.
As for escaping forcefields I expect you're using the repair skill on the wrong item. To take down forcefields one must use their repair skill on the gas bottle shaped part to the side of the actual field (part of the field's frame).

It's like a cyclinder and somewhat round and may take a few goes to bring a field down, most of the time it's a temporary measure.

Thanks alot, that cleared it up. I'm still completely baffled to why the force fields are back up
