What Difficulty Lvl should I play.

Post by kal3l »

I knocked the lvl down just a touch to get used to the game and now i'm playing it I kill mobs in the caves in just two hits, with a magic cutlass.

I go right through these forts and caves and complete my quests without every really dropping below half way on hp, I dont even need to use any potions, rats and wolves are 1 hit kills with that magic pirate sword.

Logic tells me to up the diff level but I still find it hardish to work locks and to complete sneak quests where I have to go undetected, so if i raise diff level then these things that aren't easy now will also become harder.

Anyway I'm lvl 4 and not done the 1st oblivion gate quest yet, i'm just about towns doing quests for guilds, so I do I leave it as it is cos it will get progressivly harder anyway or should I up it?

How many hits would it take u guys to kill a vampire, skeleton in a cave at lvl 4 with magic cutlass? my only concern is I get to learn all kinds of magic and get awesome weapons, but in truth I dont really need cause everything dies so easy.

I was warned by a witch that this vampire i was looking for is not like others i come across he is much harder, but when i got to him i killed him in 4 hits and lost the smallest ammount of hp.

Is this just cos i'm not far into it? and it will get harder or do i need to double difficulty, I dont really want to start all over again

Thanks for any help

Maybe this will help you decide:
-at 0% diff. you inflict 6×normal damage, and your enemies 1/6×
-at 100% diff. you inflict 1/6×normal damage, and your enemies 6×
Enjoy :)

I'm pretty sure diff. doesn't affects anything but damage input/output...
Enjoy :)

I put it up to about 60 % and i'm lvl 4 and it feels about right for me now thx.
I played on 60% tonight and I no longer have that feeling going into caves, that I simply cannot die, infact I came pretty close a few times tonight lol.

Thx
