I finished IWD, started How. At Burial Isle, my computer crashes with 1st battle!! Any suggestions highly appreciated...

What are you running OS etc....?

Hi - no messages, game simply freezes, only thing I can do is restart my computer. I aaam running Windows XP. Never had this problem before.. :( I have high speed cble internet connection. 65 % free space on my hard drive...

Hmmm.. OK
What kind of graphics card do you have? What type of processor do you have? How much RAM do you have?
If you have a fairly new machine it might be that you need to tweak a few things since older games sometimes don't work as well on newer machines.
Another possibility is that you may need to update your drivers...

Or, do you have the correct official patch? You would either need to have installed the second expansion "Trials of the Luremaster," which contains the patch, or you would have had to just install the patch by itself.

Boot always occurs when battle begins, I found way to avoid boot. Soon as I encounter foes I pause game, highlight foe & use cheat code to kill them. (cntr+y) not as much fun as battle, but at least it keeps me in game... :cool: Do you think I might need more cache, if so, how do I do that?
