Thank you for the new address, Nightmare. And GawainBS, thanks a lot for your offer.

For some reason, I keep losing the music, and sometimes have to redownload it from the web site. So when I went to get something...panic!

Thanks again.

You're welcome. As for Gamemusic, StreamingSoundtracks.com has a lot to offer. You can't download it, granted, but they have a vast library.

Compared to PS:T, I find BG cliché-fantasy. However, not everybody likes the uniqueness of the Planescape setting. PS:T is one of those few games that really give you options in a dialogue, with very, very deep characters. (Even BGII can't compare to this, allthough it had a lot more NPC's.)

I suppose BG is slightly cliche, but its cliche well done.. Either way, I still have PS:T, both the IWD's and BGII:TOB to play, all of which I havent played before. It will be interesting to which I like the best. From what ive heard though IWD probably wont be much of a contender, so its down to BG and PST.

You don't need to defend BG with me. I like it to death as well.
Also, don't think too bad of IWD, it's actually a lot better than most people let on. My dream would be IWD with all the classes and kits from BGII.

So true. A very emotional ending.

I remember when the Practical Incarnation told me what the Bronze Sphere was, I was staring at the monitor, mouth agape, for several minutes...mamash (really really)!

And Fallout was amazing too - I played that game something like ten times in a row (of course, it was very short - I played Fallout 2 only twice).

BEST rpg EVER!!!

Anna,

Try to put your walkthrough aside, least you destroy the magic of the most wonderful and tragic stories ever told (in a game, anyway). In my opinion its place is amongst the greatest works of literature and drama; and after all these years no other game has even come even close to P:T.

Once you have played P:T nothing seems good enough, story-wise. Marked for life, you said?

Actually I never found BG that fantasy-cliché. Even though it is a full-out fantasy game, the game itself never reminded me of the stereotypical fantasy-thingies. In fact, I get a common feeling when I play Planescape Torment and when I am in Watcher's Keep, going through the labyrinth and fighting demons in the Blood War.

Both games have a rich varity of planes, portals and extra-planar beings. One of the reasons I love them so much.

That's because the part of BG that you described *is* PS:T. That's to say: PS:T, as both a setting and a game, draws heavily on The Great Wheel, while this is more of a gimmick for Faerun.
I think you rather misinterpreted what I tried to say: the setting of BG is very much archetypical fantasy, while the story of BG isn't cliché in the slightest.

Really makes me want to install this game again.

No game has ever pulled me in like PS:T and made me so sad when it was over.

I absolutely could not agree more. Torment stands alone, and nothing will ever, ever come close to it.

Next year will be 10 years since it came out, yes? There should be some sort of major recognition of that fact. Maybe a big party in Las Vegas or something. Seriously, there should be something!!!

You do realise that Torment isn't as wellknown as it is awesome, aye? :)

A shame, and neither are the other achievements of BIS.

(Sigh) Yeah, of course I do. But isn't it odd that if you go to Amazon.com and search for Planescape, the game comes up for $136.95 (new) the 2 CD version I paid $9.00 for just a few years ago. Plus the cheapest used version is $52.00. Almost priced like gold these days.

When I bought it, the game cost two dollars. The shipping and handling was five.
