Fishing?

Post by ivantrv »

What things do you need to do to ensure a bigger catch, what food do you need to eat and how much before fishing? Also does the time of the day affect your catch? Thanks.

You can find the answer to some of these questions by doing a search on "fishing." As far as I know, eating doesn't affect fishing.

If wishes were fishes, I'd have enough to make me triply obese!

You may have not a fish on your hook Spoiler:
Spoiler
There are quite a few things you may have instead of a fish: moonfish, keys, potions...

And then, everybody knows that fish adds to Will. However, for this purpose fishing may serve only very early in the game.

Fishing brings fish, and fish is good for Will ;) However, i have to admit that on most occasions it's too boring to gather more or less significant amount of fish to develop Will, there are more effective ways to come by fish - save if you can fish out a bottle of Ages of Will potion :D

Winning the fisherman's rod (yes, the rod that you won in the fishing contest) will make fishing a lot easier. And if I recall correctly, someone here ever mentioned that the more you fish, the heavier the fish becomes (not sure about the size, though).
''They say truth is the first casualty of war. But who defines what's true? Truth is just a matter of perspective. The duty of every soldier is to protect the innocent, and sometimes that means preserving the lie of good and evil, that war isn't just natural selection played out on a grand scale. The only truth I found is that the world we live in is a giant tinderbox. All it takes...is someone to light the match" - Captain Price

Best time to fish is at night. Then, you can potentially catch moonfish which are bigger than normal fish.

Another good tip is to fish while it's raining. Although to be honest, sometimes the game will mess up and say that my biggest catch was some ridiculously high random number like 234237.5 or something grams. Obviously when that happens then getting the top fishing prize is super easy.

I like fishing in fable. Sometimes my character just goes around fishing where ever he can. Kinda makes me remember the days when I used to go fishing and just sit out at the water for a few hours catching a some fish.

Blind Fishing

I seem to do better when I fish with my eyes closed, using only the aural cues to determine whether the fish is fighting the line or not. Maybe my laptop graphics are too slow, but the sound cue seems to come quicker than the visual display. Whenever I do this, I almost never break the line.

[And I can imagine this is how Obi-Wan would have taught Luke how to fish . . .]
