Hello everyone, I am aware that there is a bug that can cause party members to disappear after the MotB patch and I have had this happen to me with Khelgar. I am in ACT III and I can't get clan ironfist to become my ally without Khelgar. I don't have enough save games (my fault) to go back to and do a copy/paste of Khelgar.ros from an old save game. Would anyone out there be able to send me a copy of a Khelgar.ros file so I can paste it into one of my save game files? It would be appreciated, thank you in advance.

Khelgar .ros file (potential spoil info)
Just in case anyone else has this problem, I have found a very easy fix for it. For any characters that are lost all you need to do is start a "brand new" campaign and immediately save the game as soon as it is possible. Then, log out of the game to desktop, open up the "Saves" folder and then copy/paste the character file (eg. Khelgar.ros, Qara.ros) from the save game file of your new campaign to the save file that had been corrupted. After this all you will need to do is use the GFF editor to level up your character that was corrupted who will only be a level 1 with little to no equipment. The only draw-back is you will have to get him/her all new gear.
Hope this helps

The gear might be a problem especially if Khelgar was carrying any plot items. i.e shards. Does the new .ros file completely reset your companions (influence and all)?Just in case anyone else has this problem, I have found a very easy fix for it. Sorry if I'm reviving a dead thread, but I've been having this problem myself, only with Neeshka. The solution seems clever, but, uhm. (embarrased to reveal ignorance.) What's a GFF editor, and how do I get and use one?
Also, I suppose for dealing with equiptment problems, you could always transfer their stuff to the main character, and for influence, there was this cheat, (after entering cheat mode) "rs kr_influence" that opened up a dialogue with this weird thing that could edit your influence with any of the party members to whatever level you desired.

Check downloads, either here, or the Vault or at Bioware's forum for the editor.
Also use the search in this forum for more information.
It is not a new problem, but I know very little about it. Others may have a better solution, so that you don't lose all of the characters gear and experience.
And as always, save often in multiple slots.

How do you transfer stuff when the character that has the stuff is missing?Ur_Vile_Wedge wrote:Also, I suppose for dealing with equiptment problems, you could always transfer their stuff to the main character, and for influence, there was this cheat, (after entering cheat mode) "rs kr_influence" that opened up a dialogue with this weird thing that could edit your influence with any of the party members to whatever level you desired.

Hey, um. Okay so the same thing happened to me and I was able to recreate a Khelgar using the GFF Editor, but I had him as a Monk, so even though I changed his Class and Alignment, when I go to level him up it only gives me the option of a fighter. My question is what do I edit to allow him to be leveled as a Monk instead of a Fighter. Thanks to anyone who can help me with this!
