Irritating advertisiment

Post by Kipi »

I'm not usually too picky about advertisements here, but the ad shown in the picture is actually very annoying.

Basically it's green in colour, but changes to white and back to green very rapidly (the reason why I wasn't able to provide picture of the green one, it's just pure luck which one comes with print screen).

It's especially irritating if your eyes aren't too fresh but little tired, making it acutally painfull to see the top section of the board. Also, I showed it to firend of my who studies to become a doctor and whose brother has tendency to ephilepsy (spelling?), and he confirmed that fast flashing like that may actually be unhealthy to persons from suffering from the ephilepsy.

I know I usually should be able to avoid looking it with scrolling the page down a bit, but that's not always a option, and you have to look it to be able to navigate through the buttons and links at the top of the page.

The ad redirects me FreeLotto and registering in that place...

Not to disregard your complaint, completely, but doesn't the ad change every time you hit reload? Can't you just do that? I guess on slower connections that would be problematic.

Not always. Did a bit testing, and I got it four times in a row, even when going to different thread through links.

I agree.

Just click refresh. It's easy for us members to not even look at the ads, & flashing is one way to get our attention if they are desperate.
